Paraphrase
“Requirem” The writer
wrote this poem when he has a sick and
he think his time to life is limmited. And he share his problem in this poem.
He fell hapy if he life and happy if he death. This poem is to companion when he die, in here he feel weak because he don’t reject his
die.Because of someone death no body know and just God know when the people die.

poem is printed in two stanzas of four lines each, these are called

4. Figurative Language
“Requirem” has three figurative language there
are Parallelism, Anaphora and Alliteration.

"Parallelism"
Components in
a sentence that are grammatically same or similar in their construction, sound,
meaning or meter. (Antithesis opposite meaning) is
a kind of parallelism in which to opposite ideas are put together in parallel
structures.
(Line 3 second stanza) home and sea
(the poem says that home and sea has a Similar meaning in our life)
(line 3 frirst stanza) 'glad did I live and
gladly die ‘which has the two different reflected side (Anthitesis
opposite meaning)

"Anaphora" - (the
repeatation of the words)
The
deliberate repetition of the first part of the sentence in
order to achieve an artistic effect and making
it more pleasurable to read

from sea

"Alliteration" -
(same sound repeated)
Alliteration is the easiest of the examples
of figurative language to spot. It is a repetition of the first consonant
sounds in several words.

A. Sea
Denotative : The water in
the large place
Konotative : The way of the writer’s life (the place where he work, the
place where he live and the place where he doing his daily activity before he
die)
B.
Hunter
Denotative : The someone who took animal life
Konotative : The angel of death come before the writer’s death. But before the angel of death come the writer’s had feel the angel death
will be come whenever to took his life.
C. Hill
Denotative : The place
which the surface more high than mainland
Konotative : The place where the death of angel have been come to took the
writer’s life.
6. Subject Matter
The subject matter of this poem is about “Death”.
7. Themes
The theme of this poem is about the death that come
when the author has a sick.
8. Reason
In 'Requirem', Robert Louis
Stevenson is
speaking about his suffering. Within the poem, the speaker can
imagine about the writer’s suffering fight his sick.

The theme is death because in this poem descibe about the writer’s
message before he death. He feel happy if he die and feel happy too if he
live.The reference in line 2 and three “Did the grave and let me lie Glad did I
live, glady die”
